The cooperation at Epsom General Hospital began with a long-term CT rental and has since then evolved to also include one of our brand-new Cath-Lab units featuring Philips Azurion imaging equipment and a state-of-the-art infrastructural design.
We are always happy when we can support our customers with imaging rental solutions, regardless of their needs and durations of the rental project. This specific Cath Lab rental is currently on a long-term fixed contract for 3 years at Epsom.
The Cath Lab was officially opened by the Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, Councillor Clive Woodbridge. He and the Mayoress, Mary Woodbridge, were given a tour of the facilities, meeting staff and patients along the way.
As part of the care pathway for cardiac patients the team at Epsom needed to expand their existing Cath Lab service to encompass interventional and electro-physiological procedures.
Given the requirements for a full clinical solution, including the provision of staff. We partnered with Regent´s Park Healthcare which is a leading provider of cardiac services in the UK. During our installation support programme, we proposed a theoretical design for a link corridor to seamlessly connect the cardiac day ward to the new lab.
This solution has several benefits such as:
1️⃣ It creates a separated pathway for the cardiac patients
2️⃣ It ensures excellent infection control standards
3️⃣ It creates storage areas to support the expanded activities
The Epsom team decided to proceed with this plan and invest in a full implementation, which included a link corridor.
Following initial preparation works the Cath Lab was installed on site utilizing the inbuilt hydraulic legs to mitigate the requirement for a crane. Subsequently the remaining works on the link corridor were completed. This resulted in a fully integrated lab suite which serves as a seamless extension to the hospital building.

"AGITO have been responsive and professional throughout, providing rapid and informed advice and working collaboratively with the Trust to support decision making.
The team have taken the time to consider the Trust's requirements and showed flexibility in adapting to evolving needs throughout the project. The Agito team were (and continue to be) constructive and solution oriented in their approach and the final Lab has been better for this as a result."
